The idea behind Daily Psalt Intake developed from the merging of what I believe are two important concepts of the now and forever life in Christ. The first concept comes from the prominence of the Psalms in the daily spiritual disciplines of the early church. The second concept comes from Matthew 5:13 where Jesus tells His followers that they are the ‘salt of the earth’.
By keeping ourselves spiritually healthy and alive in a consistent devotional life incorporating a regular reading and praying through of the Psalter, we will be able to fulfill our calling to have an impact on the world around us, to be the (p)salt of the earth! With that said, let me encourage you to “Psalt Daily”!
